Speaking at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, Peter Jacobson, commercial director of Diageo GTME commented: “Asia’s share of global wealth is projected to reach 20% by 2014 and luxury demand is expected to make up a staggering 40% by 2014. A consumer class with considerable purchasing power is emerging in Asia, with a growing appetite for luxury alcohol brands. For this reason, it made perfect sense to launch the exclusive global Johnnie Walker Blue Label Greg Norman limited edition here in Singapore – one of the world’s biggest travel hubs”.

In addition to being a world championship golfer, Greg Norman is also known for his relentless pursuit of excellence in business. Greg comments: “I have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Johnnie Walker from my early days as a golfer. I’ve always believed in challenging myself to go beyond success on the course and Johnnie Walker Blue Label consumers share this drive and ambition. In life, your success and performance are driven from within. Keep Walking.”

Johnnie Walker Blue Label, a whisky of bold, complex and rare character is the commemoration of John Walker & Sons “Old High land Whisky” from 1867. Only 1 in 10,000 casks from the four corners of Scotland are deemed worthy for each blending of Johnnie Walker Blue Label – some of these whiskies are from distilleries which no longer exist. With such a stringent selection process, the blend is a truly epic achievement in whisky crafting, with an intense richness and soft smoke with layers of honey and fruit and a powerful, incredibly smooth finish.
