Lyon, France is one of the carriers new destinations

In an effort to increase its presence in Europe, Etihad Airways has expanded its codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines to include services to three regional French cities.

Etihad Airways has expanded its codeshare agreement with Brussels Airlines to now include Brussels Airlines services to Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse.

The new services to the three French cities are in addition to the existing Etihad Airways Brussels Airlines codeshare services to Barcelona, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Madrid, Oslo and Stockholm.

Etihad Airways president and chief executive officer James Hogan said the three new destinations add to the airlines network and offers more of Europe for its passengers.

“This expansion is a natural next step in what has been a very successful partnership since 2006, and we look forward to continuing to work with Brussels Airlines.

“It also enables passengers from various points on their network to travel to Abu Dhabi and further afield.”

Etihad Airways operates eight weekly Abu Dhabi-Brussels services in a two-class aircraft configuration.
