APT’s Freedom of Choice local touring now has 200 experiences with the addition of three new options — photography or Flamenco Class in Barcelona, Catacombs or Italian Cooking Class in Rome and in Arles a guided tour of Les Baux de Provence or Saint Paul de Mausole Asylum where Van Gogh spent his last days.
APT announced the milestone today. The new options will be included in the pending Europe brochure out soon.
In 1998, on its New Zealand premier coach tours, APT launched the concept of customers tailoring their itineraries with the freedom to choose by offering a choice of local tours at no extra cost.
Freedom of Choice Touring is now offered at 64 destinations across 25 countries, while a sister service, Freedom of Choice Dining where customers can choose where they dine at evening – also at no extra cost – is available in 26 destinations across 15 countries.
APT General Manager Marketing, Debra Fox said Freedom of Choice Touring and Dining were ensconced as hallmark and trademarked services of the company.
“They are also a core element of APT presenting holidays with no hidden extra costs,” she said.
“Our customers told us over 15 years ago they wanted choice and nothing’s changed today apart from APT providing more choice of holidays, overall,” she said.
