Removing France from the Eurail Select Pass will benefit travellers and their wallets, according to Rail Europe Australiasia manager Richard Leonard.
Announced earlier this week, Europe Rail announced that commencing 1 January next year the Eurail Select Pass would no longer include France, however, the country would still be covered on the Eurail Global Pass, Eurail two-country Passes and the France Rail Pass.
Mr Leonard said with more holiday-makers looking to explore different regions across the continent, the change would only serve to assist travellers, particularly those not looking to stop-by France.
“Gone are the day when travellers hop from city to city in a short amount of time just to tick off their ‘been there, done that’ list,” Mr Leonard explained.Agents and travellers can still select France as an option for travel with a Eurail Select Pass until 31 December this year.
