Lufthansa Airlines has cancelled up to 100 flights to and from the UK and Ireland on Monday, as staff strike over pay disputes.
Flights include those departing and arriving at airports; Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Dublin, STV News reported.
Meanwhile, German airports affected include; Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf and Hamburg.
Lufthansa has advised passengers affected by strikes can rebook for free.
“Lufthansa regrets any inconvenience to Lufthansa passengers caused by the threatened strike measures by ver.di and will do its utmost to minimise impacts on passengers,” the airline said in an online statement.
According to the airline's union, ver.di, today's strikes come as the carrier rejected its demand for a 5.2 percent wage increase over the next year as well as job guarantees.
