M&C are long standing supporters of Singapore Day and this year’s event will see M&C’s Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington be the “home base” for the Singapore Day organising committee.

The Copthorne Tara Hotel, nestled in the heart of the Kensington and Chelsea districts, will also host two Singapore delegations – one from the Ministry and a second comprising the culinary team taking part at the event. Guests from the delegations will feel at home in the Hotel’s Bugis Street Brasserie which has been serving a selection of Singaporean dishes for many years.

The M&C Group, a member of the Hong Leong Group Singapore, has been a strong supporter of Singapore Day since it first started. The event has been held previously in London, Shanghai and New York. Aside from the 833-room Copthorne Tara London Kensington, M&C owns five other M&C hotels in Central London; The Chelsea Harbour Hotel, Millennium Bailey’s Hotel London Kensington, Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington, Millennium Hotel London Knightsbridge and Millennium Hotel London Mayfair. These hotels have also played their part in supporting this annual event. In addition, the Group manages two hotels at Chelsea Football Club.

M&C Chairman Kwek Leng Beng said, “M&C is proud to be a partner of Singapore Day 2014 and will continue to support such events. The world is getting smaller and Singaporeans are becoming more international, so such an event will help us remember our roots and celebrate the Singaporean Spirit as well as increase understanding of all things Singaporean to the international community.”
