Vilaiwan Twichasri, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business said “This year’s Spectacular Year End celebration, in its second installment, will be held in the Ratchaprasong area because of its status as the preferred location for foreign visitors and locals alike when it comes to the New Year Countdown. Customers who spend 5,000 Baht or more on goods and services from one of the many world-class shopping malls in this square mile will have the chance to redeem presents at two Spectacular Year End booths conveniently located at the Gaysorn’s entry at the Chidlom BTS Sky Train Station and the proximity of the Erawan Bangkok Shopping Centre.

“With cooperation from the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority in promoting this campaign throughout the capital, we are expecting a 15% increase in spending on Visa cards in Ratchaprasong during this festive season,” Added Mrs. Vilaiwan.

Somboon Krobteeranon, Visa Country Manager, Thailand said “This campaign is a good example of how Visa can connect millions of its cardholders travelling to Thailand with businesses in ways that benefit all. Tapping into Visa’s deep knowledge of cross-border travel, we are taking into consideration the whole customer journey and have put together special privileges that will delight visitors, starting right from when they book their accommodation.”

The Ratchaprasong Square, situated at the heart of Bangkok’s shopping district, is home to famous world-class establishments and also attractions; such as, the Erawan Shrine.
