Set to be released next week, Lonely Planet’s latest publication, Wild World, is a must-have for any traveller, photographer or nature-lover.

With 198 awe-inspiring colour photographs, the book depicts the beauty of each continent and inspires readers to set off on a new adventure.

Australia is featured 13 times in the book, including photographs of a lightning strike in Queensland, a beech tree in Tasmania, kangaroos in Western Australia and, one that is impossible to go unnoticed, the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland.

“Curating this book, it was clear that humans have left their mark on almost every inch of the globe,” the book’s introduction reads.

“But, despite all the changes we have wrought upon it, our home still has the power to evoke awe, respect, passion and protectiveness, to comfort and thrill us, to change our lives.”

“Billions of years after it was forged, it’s still a WILD WORLD.”

Lonely Planet’s Wild World follows the success of the 2013 bestseller Beautiful World and features breathtaking photographs taken by experts from all over the globe.

With Christmas approaching, it makes the ideal gift for a loved-one or the perfect addition to your own book collection.

Wild World is available for purchase on Lonely Planet’s online store from 2 November 2015.
