When and why did you join the industry? 

I joined the industry after I graduated from college in United Kingdom back in 80s. I always like the fun in the workplace and the people I worked with.

What do you like most about your job?

The opportunity to visit different countries on sales mission or sales trips.

What’s one of the biggest achievements of your career so far?

Working at the Best Airport Hotel in the World and leading my team to be awarded the best sales team of Regal Hotels Hong Kong & China for 3 consecutive years.

What’s the best advice ever given to you and who gave it?

“My favourite things in life don’t cost any money. It’s really clear that most precious resource we all have is TIME” by Steve Jobs.

Who do you admire and see as a role model in the industry?

I admire Marco Polo because of his courage and adventurous.

What can people expect from your company and what sets it apart from the rest? 

Regal Hotels is one of the biggest hotel group in Hong Kong. We consist of 8 hotels in Hong Kong with a full portfolio of 5-star, 4-star and selected service hotel. People can expect a lot of learning and career development opportunities.

What destinations are on your travel bucket list?

Mexico & Guatelmala

What’s a memorable travel experience you’ve had (good or bad)?

The Songkran Festival of Thailand. Though wet because of the pouring water, it is filled with joy, laughter and blessings.

What are three things you always take with you when travelling?

Passport, credit card and cash

Name someone famous you’d like to travel with and a destination you’d like to go with them. 

No one in particular but I enjoy having trips with my friends annually.

What direction do you see the industry heading in over the next five to ten years?

Air traffic at Hong Kong International Airport has increased and to meet this growing demand, the airport will enhance its capacity in next 5 years, by having new runways & new terminals. The demand on airport hotel will be getting stronger and stronger. On top of current projects confirmed, the Lantau Island will become a stronger economic zone. I look forward to the future and opportunities ahead of us.
