Summer is here and the Fraser Coast is ready to tell the world that it’s a great time to enjoy our big nature experiences.
Fraser Coast Tourism and Events marketing and communications manager Bradley Nardi said two major holiday packages, valued in excess of $5000 in total, would be given away during the Endless Summer campaign – one for a family and one for a couple.
“The prizes have been built around the ‘By The C’ concert on February 10, featuring John Farnham, James Reyne, The Black Sorrows and Ross Wilson,” he said.
The prize packages include flights, accommodation, concert tickets, meals and tours supported by Qantas, Kingfisher Bay Resort, Oceans Resort and Spa, Aquavue Café Watersports, Bay Apartments, Blue Dolphin Marine Tours, Tasman Venture, Bayswater Bar and Grill and Out and About With Kids magazine.
“The competitions will be open until January 12 and people can enter at visitfrasercoast.com/summer,” Mr Nardi said.
“We always thank our wonderful operators for coming on board with these fantastic initiatives.”
He said 14 local tourism operators had partnered with FCTE to deliver the promotional activity which was leveraging the concert for consumer interest as part of the core aim of driving visitation for February and March, traditionally leaner months for the industry.
Mr Nardi said screen advertising would appear on free-to-air television from the Darling Downs and Sunshine Coast through to Rockhampton as well as on You Tube and social media in the same markets and also Brisbane.
The ‘By The C’ celebration of live music food and community, being brought to the region by Zaccaria Concerts and Touring in partnership with FCTE, was helping to anchor the summer marketing campaign.
“We’re aiming to draw in tourists within a radius of about 300km,” Mr Nardi said.
He said the campaign also included newspaper, magazine and radio ads and posting hot deals on the Australian Traveller website.
