New appointments announced for Ramada Resort Port Vila

Ramada Resort Port Vila is pleased to announce the appointment of Julien Dumont as Room Division Manager and Michael Hardy as Executive Chef.

Mr Dumont has a career in hospitality spanning more than two decades and has held leadership positions since 2000, including at five-star resorts with internationally recognised brands.

Prior to joining Ramada Resort Port Vila, Mr Dumont worked as the Director of Rooms in the Crowne Plaza Vientiane in Laos, where he had a track record of consistently delivering guest satisfaction and setting high standards of service.

In his new position, Mr Dumont will have responsibility for front office, reservations and housekeeping, and will refine procedures to enable his team to create personalised and memorable experiences for guests.

The resort has also appointed Mr Hardy to lead and train the culinary team catering for diners and delegates at the resort’s restaurant, Akiriki, its three bars, and conference venues.

Before accepting his position at Ramada Resort Port Vila, Mr Hardy managed a team of more than 20 staff at Tanoa International Hotel in Fiji, which featured three eating outlets and conference facilities.

Mr Hardy has been employed as an Executive or Head Chef for the last seven years and has catered for a number of high profile guests, including heads of state, religious leaders and sporting teams.

Ramada Resort Port Vila Managing Director George Dechaineux said the strong additions to the resort team would help take the property to even greater heights.

Together with his business partner Chris Martin, Mr Callan offers the resort a professional and dedicated Australian-based representation through TRS. He has over 20 years’ experience in the tourism industry, including several working with online travel agents.
