Prince William arrives at Jerusalem’s King David Hotel
Prince William, Britain’s Duke of Cambridge and second in line to the throne, arrived today in Israel and was welcomed to the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, his home for the next four days. His visit marks the first official state visit to the 70-year-old State of Israel since its birth in 1948. The Duke’s accommodation in the 88-year-old grande dame of Israeli hotels (built during the British Mandate over Palestine), overlooks the 16th-century walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.
