Ahoy Australian National Maritime Museum calls out for all sailors and crew members
On Sunday 9th December, the Australian National Maritime Museum will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the launch of HMB Endeavour with a tour of the HMB Endeavour and a talk with Captain John Dikkenberg.
With the next voyage planned to set sail at the end of January to Hobart, the HMB Endeavour is looking for crew members to take part in the journey.
SIGN UP THIS SUNDAY AT THE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM
Visitors are invited to listen to HMB Endeavour Captain John Dikkenberg retell the adventure and history surrounding the magnificent HMB Endeavour, enjoy a free viewing of the ship and indulge in some light refreshments.
The event will be a great opportunity for those who are keen to participate in the upcoming HMB Endeavour program; with 2019 voyages confirmed for Tasmania to participate in the Australian Wooden Boat Festival followed by New Caledonia and New Zealand later in the year. In true historic tradition, there will artists and scientists on board each voyage to undertake research projects and capture the journey in its entirety.
10 – 11am: Explore HMB Endeavour
11am – 12noon: Captain Talk and Q&A with John Dikkenberg and past crew members.
