Dragoman Overland Travel opens new Australia office in Melbourne
Dragoman Overland has opened a new office in Melbourne, Australia, to drive sales of their unique brand of overland adventures covering 55 countries across the Americas, Asia and Africa in their 27 purpose-built iconic orange trucks.
Supported by Dragoman headquarters based in Suffolk, UK, the Australia office will enable clients to book nearly 400 overland adventures directly through a new reservations team for the southern hemisphere. Dragoman offers travelers a truly unique experience to take the road less travelled, mix with the local people and embrace regional cultures to ensure that each day builds towards a journey of a lifetime be it an epic trip of several months or a short break of a couple of weeks.
Dragoman will be partnering with the Evolution Travel Collective to drive growth via retail agency partners in Australia. Pete Rawley, CEO and Founder of Evolution Travel Collective (ETC), is representing Dragoman to trade; having worked with Dragoman in previous roles and having a personal affinity to the Overland style of travelling.

Dragoman owner, Charlie Hopkinson, out in Australia for the historic announcement added “We’ve been represented in the region for the past 30 years, but as our business has grown significantly in recent years, it now allows us to further invest in the Australia and New Zealand region. We have employed our own reservations team in Melbourne to help our agent partners with their bookings and are thrilled to have engaged ETC to represent our team at an industry level.
Hopkinson added, “We are delighted to have already agreed secured agreements with several industry network partners within Australia and New Zealand via our partnership with ETC to complement historical global agreement already in place. This will see Dragoman now have direct exposure to well over 3000 stores in Australia and New Zealand as we work closer than ever before with our agency partners in the region.”
