Le French May Menus at Brasserie on the Eighth



In celebration of Le French May, Brasserie on the Eighth will serve up a feast of extravagant menus to deliver the best of French gastronomy.

The 3-course lunch menu capturing the essence of French cuisine is perfect for guests who look for a delightful light lunch. “Poached Fillet of Sole with Champagne Sauce and Artichoke Stew” is prepared with French Dover Sole which is acclaimed for its delicate sweet and buttery flavour. As a pleasurable addition, French sorrels offer a zesty lemon flavour with a crisp finish to the Dover Sole.

While the lunch menu gives a glimpse into the world of French food, the exquisite dinner menus promise to be an extra indulgence. Dish of special note is “Roasted Rack of Lamb with Provencal Coco Beans and Mont Ventoux Truffle”. The baby lamb rack is marinated with Chef’s secret mix of more than 20 herbs and spices while pan-frying over low heat followed by roasting seals in the juices and retains its succulence.

Both lunch and dinner menus are available throughout the month of May. A fine selection of Burgundy pairing wines is available at a special supplement.

In addition, Michelin-starred Chef Stéphane Gaborieau from Restaurant le Pergolèse will visit Brasserie on the Eighth to deliver the exquisite Provence fare from 20 to 25 May 2013. Chef Gaborieau’s signatures will also be showcased on a one-night only wine pairing dinner on 22 May 2013.
