APT’s sixth boutique rivership ms Amadolce was christened at Dürnstein near Vienna on Wednesday May 20 during its inaugural sailing between Amsterdam and Budapest.

APT principals Geoff McGeary and Barry Matters took part in the ceremony which included 148 passengers, the Mayor of Dürnstein, as well as a group of travel agents from Australia.

Mr McGeary said APT was proud of its on-time delivery performance on all ships which he attributed to APT’s partnership with AmaWaterways, globally recognised as the leaders in European river cruising.

“Together, we have created boutique-sized riverships that feature well-appointed suites, spacious public areas, a variety of dining options, multiple outdoor decks and a whole lot more” he said.

The seventh rivership, ms Amabella is also on schedule for her maiden voyage on 9 May 2010 from Amsterdam.
