Spectators were captivated during the four rounds which saw Jordan Spieth finish in the lead with a score of 63. A memorable performance was also seen from Rod Pampling and Brett Rumford who placed second and third in the tournament.

“This year’s Emirates Australian Open once again saw golf’s strongest and greatest players go head to head. I would like to warmly congratulate Jordan on his tremendous win,” said Barry Brown, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President Commercial Operations East.

In the village, spectators put their golfing skills to the test at the Emirates Lifestyle Booth by taking part in the Emirates putting competition, where competitors had the chance to win tickets to the BMW International Open in Germany. Crew were on hand to ensure guests received a warm reception and hand out branded gifts.

As the tournament continues to grow and attract the world’s best sporting talent, we’ve committed to extending the partnership through to 2016,” Mr Brown continued.

I would like to thank the players, organisers and spectators for their ongoing support and commitment to the game of golf. Without you, this week’s world class tournament would not be possible. We hope to see you again in 2015,” Mr Brown concluded.

Emirates’ other Australian golf sponsorships include the PGA Championship and Perth International, complimenting a national portfolio of arts and sporting properties that includes the Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras, Adelaide Festival, Collingwood Football Club and Emirates Melbourne Cup.
